04.03.03 Dress The Nation, anti-war chat performance.
Online performances are beginning to direct their attention to public communication spaces such as the public chats, the real agoras of the Net. After more conceptual attempts such as Baudrillard's books in BaudriR and an episode of 'Friends' set in the Quake world in 'Quake Friends', now the landscape is assuming political characteristics. The group Avatar Body Collision, in fact, on March 3 and 4 (at 10:00, 14:00, 18:00 and 22:00 GMT), will present 'Dress The Nation', a performance organized in 'The Palace', an awesome web chat space where the user is allowed to personalize his projection in the 'room' (a somewhat limiting term) where he is. Avatar Body Collision is a group consisting of four female artists who live in different places in the world who, this time, will stage the lies of Bush and his henchmen, collaborating with the Lysistrata Project, an organization supporting theatrical actions of resistance against the war throughout the world.
