Italian version Ê .hacktivism 08.01.03 Phrack explains how to jam civilian GPS receivers. The latest issue of Phrack, historical electronic zine about hacking, published an article on how to jam civilian GPS receivers. Taking the cue from the tecniques used in military GPSes to inhibit the localization of soldiers by the enemies, a system is described, with the help of a postscript diagram, for building a low-cost device able to generate enough noise to render the positioning system ineffective. Nowadays, with GPS receivers more and more present in cell phones and cars (in those for rent, for instance, it's the rule), devices like this can confuse the oppressive and hidden eyes of those who build means of communication and transport transforming them in means of control. |
