IItalian version . dvd video Reline <dvd video> Form Records / Neither-Field Going beyond the standard possibilities of the digital computer systems by developing techniques which trascend the usual representations on screen and the film narration. This seems to be the thread connecting the ten wonderful videos included in Reline, a well made collection of expressions similar only in their aesthetic to the european videoartists and vj scene. The themes flow in a distorted personal narration which now uses the images of a broken videocamera, now a 'stretched' collage of advertisements of beauty products. The output is broken by a shared visionary nature which embodies in its graphic abstraction an approach to transformation and manipulation of reality. The fragmentation of the screen, its being full of single repeated elements and the role of the software, used to dynamically alter the flow of images, go hand in hand with the propension towards technical experiments and the anticonventional use of the tools. Pixel artisans as they are, the authors tell a story, separating reality from technique and giving it back to our screens.
