Swappingtons is the new community site which attempts to give shape to a well-functioning form of exchange through the web. A practice opposed like the plague by the multinationals, the free exchange recycles goods which otherwise would end up being thrown away to give them a new life, recycled by other interested people who can then recycle them again, without any money involved and exemplarily optimizing the waste.The algorithm devised by the makers of this system looks more than efficient, letting the user make an offer for free, after which the receiver can award the benefactor some 'virtual points' which can be spent in other exchanges. A simple system which could stamp out the shops dealing in used goods, radicalizing the free exchange, a practice highly subversive of the consumistic commercial regime.
