Italian version . book Tester, nodes at work <book> Fundacion Rodriguez/Arteleku ISBN 9984-9538-0-7 Tester is an experiment of network culture in his most natural meaning, transposed to a structured organization for independent physical nodes, each of which has its own responsibilities in a common interaction protocol. Applying the rules to regulate the flow of informations to a critical dialogue on electronic art and globalization, the core of this group has attracted other different entities while developing its projects. This book documents the increase of energy caused by this 'core', that is, how they realized their projects of activism, software used in plagiarist ways, common archives, art installations or simply how they made contact with other structures, as well as the potential of every member to start a chain reaction. Scattered in San Sebastian, Berlin, Victoria, Ljubljana, Lima, Johannesburg, the actors of this initiative approve the debate aimed at rediscussing the hierarchical models of contemporary art, stressing the importance of involving less developed areas, without contextualizing them as 'exotic', but valuing them as realities included in their cultures. Made in three languages (basque, catalan/spanish and english) and freely downloadable from the Net, this text contains ramifications which cross one another which succeed in defining the group as an external point of reference and its entities as active agents within it, and becomes a dynamic and rich node which moves between the interactions of reality and virtuality.
