08.10.03 Dictionary of Primal Behaviour, interjections.
Dictionary of Primal Behaviour, interjections is a work which catalogues exclamations, utterings and various other vocal interjections and compiles a real visual and sound dictionary of 'primary' expressions. Made by the Urtica duo, founded by the serbs Violeta Vojvodic and Eduard Balaz, it catches the universality of an instinctive language fixating it in a video and a set of pictograms which try to ultimately abstract the meaning of the expressions depicted. The representation of these vocal signs varies according to the different cultures but, like in Bzzzpeek, it's mostly without borders and stresses the need to communicate beyond national idioms and the adaptation of widely used foreign languages.
